ACTIVITIES
Every year at Manege Hestar we organize as many fun activities as possible such as:
jumping lessons, skills lessons, cross lessons, vaulting, carousel(lessons), grooming and tacking up lessons and even day camps.
Every year we go to Drenthe for 4 weeks for our pony camp.
We also regularly organize competitions such as:
dressage competitions (F-proeven), jumping competitions, Pas de Deux and the 12-hour competition.
BIXIE MATCH
Children from Bixie Plus level can participate in the first competition, the Bixie, in consultation with instruction! The Pixiu competition consists of a dressage test with a number of figures and a skill section.

F-TASTING MATCH
F-tests are dressage tests in which you as a rider are assessed by a special FNRS jury. The jury writes the grades and assessment of your test on a protocol that you can take home afterwards. This way you can always read back what the jury thought of your test and why you obtained certain points. Do you score at least a 6 per part on average? Then a promotion point will be stamped in your rider passport.
Before you can participate in an F-trial you must obtain the Pixiu.

SKILL AND JUMPING COMPETITION
The skill
In skill tests the emphasis is on balance, agility and cooperation with the horse. With skill you learn to step and trot over beams, drive between gates, slalom and jump over a small obstacle.
The proficiency tests consist of three different levels; Skill 1, 2 and 3, i.e. Va1 (40cm), Va2 (50cm) and Va3 (50cm).
To jump
The S-tests vary from 30 to 90 centimeters. Among other things, your posture and sitting and the way you drive are examined. The S tests consist of different levels and heights. It starts at the S30. The number 30 indicates the height of the obstacle. The classes are always increasing by 10 centimeters.

CROSSLES
We occasionally also give cross lessons for our experienced show jumpers (from S50).
Here we jump our self-made cross hurdles. The cross hurdles vary from 40 to 65 cm high. A body protector is mandatory for cross lessons.
The cross lessons are only for experienced show jumpers because they are fixed obstacles that do not fall over.
You may not specify a pony, you will be classified by the instructor.
PONY LEASE
We occasionally offer members from level 3 the opportunity to lease a pony on holidays/public holidays. You can drive freely in the arena for an hour.
Please specify 3 ponies when registering.
PONY CHAMP
The pony camp is undoubtedly the highlight of the year for many Hestar children!!
Every year we leave for 4 weeks with all our riding ponies to Wateren (Drenthe) where they can enjoy the meadow and we stay at our fine accommodation.
During a week of pony camp we go on a daily ride outside and we do many more fun activities with our own ponies and with each other.
Of the 4 weeks we run pony camp for 3 weeks and the ponies are completely free for the last week.
Pony camp week 1 is for advanced students and weeks 2 and 3 are for children from level 2.
Registrations for our pony camp are always going very fast!
DO YOU ALSO WANT TO CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY BETWEEN THE PONY'S???
It is possible for members and non-members to have a birthday party at HESTAR onSaturday (from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.).
Besides eating cake and unwrapping presents, we will brush ponies, ride of course and play around with paint to decorate the ponies as beautifully as possible. Participating children must be at least 6 years old. We recommend clothing that can get wet and dirty.
Long pants (jeans, jogging pants or riding breeches), closed shoes or boots and wearing a cap (available at the riding school) while riding are mandatory.
BIRTHDAY PARTY PROGRAM

Birthday party rates for members: The costs are € 150,- for a maximum of 10 children.
With more children, an additional €15 per child is added.
Birthday party rate non-members: The costs are € 200,- for a maximum of 10 children.
With more children, an additional € 20 per child is added.
The prices include a frankfurter sandwich, lemonade and sweets or chips.
Additional drinks can be ordered at bar prices.
You can bring your own cake! Other own consumptions are not allowed.
